I agree we should not meet Super Bowl weekend and at the same time as the Michigan Region. However, I find it hard to believe that there isn't Any Michigan Area that wouldn't like to have a workshop or round table about Something recovery or service related Sometime later in February or March. And I guess I'm wondering how you managed to ask all the Areas, and gave them time to think about it, that quickly with a holiday taking up time since we met. But if there really isn't any Area that wants a workshop we could just have an MZF meeting and only take one day instead of two. And maybe actually get some of the business done that we haven't been doing because there really isn't time with workshops, reports, and the regional issues that come up during reports. For instance, we really need to look at, discuss, and maybe even come up with some consensus on how to make decisions between meetings, and how to make that work with consensus. That is probably going to be a long and involved discussion.
If Justin knows what they want us to do in May and/or Ohio knows what they want we could actually do a more thorough planning meeting like we maybe should have done in Peoria. Or several other things that we haven't really done a thorough discussion or reached consensus about.
I'd prefer we wait until the 2nd or 3rd week in March so the weather is a little better but that's just me. And remember, this doesn't have to be in conjunction with an existing function. If the Area we meet in wants to host a speaker meeting and dance or even just a pitch-in and meeting on Sat night so we get a chance to meet and fellowship with some of the locals that's great but it doesn't have to be that way. Also, if the MI delegate doesn't have time to deal with it I'm sure he could delegate it to his alternate or even somebody else.
Just some thoughts. Love ya all, Blynn
